On 20 August 2026, Agriscape Innovation Company Limited participated in a practical agricultural training session organized by NAFAKA KILIMO in Morogoro, Tanzania. Agriscape was invited to contribute technical knowledge and practical expertise in nursery management, with the objective of strengthening the capacity of farmers and agricultural field officers in the production and management of healthy, vigorous and quality seedlings. The training brought together approximately 50 farmers and agricultural field officers, creating an important platform for knowledge exchange, practical learning and discussion of challenges associated with nursery establishment and seedling production. Representing Agriscape the trainer facilitated practical learning sessions and demonstrations designed to connect technical nursery knowledge with the realities faced by farmers in the field.
The training conducted using a practical and participatory approach. Rather than focusing only on theoretical explanations, participants exposed to actual nursery materials and demonstrations. Nursery trays, growing media and young seedlings used to make the training more practical and easier to relate to farmers' daily activities. The practical demonstrations provided participants with an opportunity to observe how different nursery materials are handled and how proper nursery practices can contribute to the production of healthy planting materials. Farmers and agricultural field officers actively participated by asking questions, observing the demonstrations and sharing experiences from their own agricultural activities. This interaction created a two-way learning environment in which technical knowledge from Agriscape combined with the practical experiences and challenges of farmers.
One of the most valuable aspects of the engagement was the interaction between farmers, agricultural field officers and the Agriscape technical team. Farmers were able to share challenges they experience in their own nurseries, while agricultural field officers contributed their field experiences and perspectives. The discussions demonstrated that agricultural training becomes more effective when technical recommendations connected to actual challenges experienced by farmers. Agriscape therefore used the engagement not only to teach but also to listen, learn and understand the practical needs of agricultural communities. The training contributed to strengthening participants' understanding of nursery management and quality seedling production. By gaining practical knowledge, farmers can improve their own nursery practices and make better decisions concerning the establishment and management of seedlings. At the same time, agricultural field officers gained additional practical knowledge that can support their continued engagement with farmers and agricultural communities. This created the potential for knowledge gained during the training to extend beyond the approximately 50 participants and reach other farmers through continued field-level extension and advisory activities
The engagement provided an opportunity for Agriscape Innovation Company Limited to demonstrate its role as a provider of practical agricultural knowledge and technical services. AgriScape believes that agricultural transformation requires more than the availability of technology and inputs. Farmers also needed knowledge, practical skills, technical guidance and access to appropriate solutions. Through its participation in the training, AgriScape demonstrated its ability to translate agricultural knowledge into practical field-based learning. The engagement also provided an opportunity to introduce and strengthen awareness of the AgriScape brand among farmers and agricultural professionals. Rather than promoting the company through advertising alone, AgriScape demonstrated its expertise through service, training, practical demonstrations and direct engagement with agricultural stakeholders.
Agriscape Innovation Company Limited remains committed to supporting farmers, agricultural professionals, institutions and communities through practical training, agricultural consultancy, nursery management, quality planting materials and innovative agricultural solutions. The company will continue to seek and build partnerships that create opportunities for knowledge sharing, farmer empowerment and sustainable agricultural development. Through engagements such as the nursery management training with NAFAKA KILIMO, Agriscape continues to position itself as a partner in transforming agricultural knowledge into practical solutions.
