Agriscape Empowers Farmers and Agricultural Field Officers

On 20 August 2026, Agriscape Innovation Company Limited participated in a practical agricultural training session organized by NAFAKA KILIMO in Morogoro, Tanzania. Agriscape was invited to contribute technical knowledge and practical expertise in nursery management, with the objective of strengthening the capacity of farmers and agricultural field officers in the production and management of healthy, vigorous and quality seedlings. The training brought together approximately 50 farmers and agricultural field officers, creating an important platform for knowledge exchange, practical learning and discussion of challenges associated with nursery establishment and seedling production. Representing Agriscape the trainer facilitated practical learning sessions and demonstrations designed to connect technical nursery knowledge with the realities faced by farmers in the field.

The training conducted using a practical and participatory approach. Rather than focusing only on theoretical explanations, participants exposed to actual nursery materials and demonstrations. Nursery trays, growing media and young seedlings used to make the training more practical and easier to relate to farmers' daily activities. The practical demonstrations provided participants with an opportunity to observe how different nursery materials are handled and how proper nursery practices can contribute to the production of healthy planting materials. Farmers and agricultural field officers actively participated by asking questions, observing the demonstrations and sharing experiences from their own agricultural activities. This interaction created a two-way learning environment in which technical knowledge from Agriscape combined with the practical experiences and challenges of farmers.

Key Outcomes of the Engagement

The training achieved several important outcomes:

1.Increased technical awareness. Participants gained additional knowledge on important principles of nursery management and seedling production.

2.Practical exposure. Farmers and agricultural field officers interacted with nursery trays, growing media and seedlings through practical demonstrations.

3 Capacity building. The training strengthened participants' practical understanding of how to manage seedlings during the nursery stage.

4.Experience sharing. Farmers and field officers shared their experiences and challenges, creating an opportunity for practical discussion and problem-solving.

5.Strengthened professional networks. The engagement created an opportunity for interaction between Agriscape, NAFAKA KILIMO, farmers and agricultural field personnel.

6.Increased awareness of Agriscape. The engagement provided an opportunity for Agriscape to demonstrate its technical expertise and agricultural services directly to potential clients, partners and agricultural stakeholders.
